True Life Story: My Wife Is Too Desperate-I Think She Is Cheating On Me To Keep Her Job

Hello Lively Stones,

Please hide my identity. I think my wife and I are no longer in love. This is because, my wife is too desperate to keep her job instead of working on our marriage. It is very sad because our marriage is not even up to three years old. We met in the church choir three years ago and we courted and dated without intimacy. My wife is a well behaved woman and never one day did I regret marrying her. Being so young (25 &16 years old) we both decided to jakpa after getting married.

So we started saving from the little salary we both earned to travel out of the country. We have tried several routes to jakpa but it has not worked out yet. We have spent a lot of money but things are a bit disappointing. In the midst of it, I lost my job. But not to remain idle, I started a business which I work from home. Being the one who works from home, I take care of any house chores before my wife returns from work.

We do not have any children yet because we dont want any children to hinder our relocation plans. About seven months ago, my wife started working really late due to a new boss that made work difficult for her. The new oga said no one will leave the office until he is ready to close. My wife started getting home around 10.30pm almost every day. This affected us in a way that, because I work from home, I feel horny most times and when my wife comes back, she is too tired.

At first, I was very patient but as time went on, I got tired of being patient. Especially because, even after my wife returns late, she will still pick up her laptop and work till late night. And the yeye boss sometimes calls her at late night hours. The guy was querying any of their staff who does not pick calls even after hours. I got tired of hearing the boss voice even on the phone with my wife every night. I tried to tell my wife to ask the boss to stop interfering with our personal lives but she said, the man would take offense and fire her and if she looses her job, that makes two of us who will be unemployed.

Even on weekends, this boss calls for long zoom meetings. God knows how many times I masturbated cos I was being sexually starved in my marriage. Me and my wife seemed to even grow more and more distant with each other. I was worried but I did not complain cos I was unemployed and we need to continue to save money for jakpa. Then one day, something happened. My wife was in the bathroom after coming home from work, her phone message notification beeped and I caught a glimpse of the message.

I thought I was imagining things but the whatsapp text was from her boss and I saw he sent an egg plant emoji. I got the phone and discovered there was password. I never knew my wife had started putting password on her phone. So, after she came out of the bathroom, I asked her why she put password on her phone and she said, oh…its because sometimes, in my office, I leave my phone carelessly, so I don’t want anyone to go through my phone when am not watching in the office.

So, I told her to unlock the phone, that I wanted to check something. She said; why? I said ah ah…must I explain why? She said no but my request is strange, so I told her, I want to show her a new app that I just downloaded. She said ok. She unlocked the phone and was giving it to me, when she noticed the whatsapp text from her boss…she tried to withdraw the phone but I quickly grabbed it. My wife began to struggle with me, to get the phone back.
