Former Neighbours star Olympia Valance has announced her engagement to boyfriend Thomas Bellchambers – so many congratulations are in order!

The actress, who played Paige Smith in the Aussie soap, revealed the happy news on Instagram, telling fans that her American Football League fiancée had proposed to her.

“Today is a special day,” she captioned a post of the couple embracing. “The man of my dreams proposed to me. I get to marry my best friend”.

She also shared a picture of a romantic beach picnic that included an engagement ring and the words “I love u 4ever” spelled out.

The couple first went public last year, Olympia telling TV Week at the time: “I go to work, do my job and then come home to my boyfriend. It’s nice at the moment.”

The actress exited Neighbours as Paige back in 2018, though recently returned to celebrate the soap’s 35th anniversary.

However, Olympia explained earlier this year that she agreed to return upon learning that co-star Scott McGregor was also coming back as Paige’s former love interest Mark Brennan.

“When Jason [Herbison] came to me and said, ‘We’d really like you back for the 35th year’, I asked, ‘What’s your storyline?’,” she said.

“Scott was the same. He called me up and asked if I was coming back for the 35th. I said, ‘Yeah, are you coming back?’ We were both just trying to 100% confirm with each other.”
