A Nigerian man identified as Emakoji Ajikoye has shared a beautiful story of how he met and married his wife. According to him, the story is that of kindness and destiny. Narrating his story, Ajikoye said that he wanted to fly out of the country to Paris, and two days to his travel, he realised that he needed a Nigerian ATM card so he decided to apply for one.
On the day he visited the bank, a lady started the process and asked another lady, who eventually became his wife, to continue with the process. The Nigerian man revealed that despite the pressure from people and a rude supervisor, the lady was extremely nice to him.
Although he missed his flight because of the card he got very late, Ajikoye revealed that the banker went out of her way to help him. Even though he begged for her number to appreciate her, the banker refused.
When he eventually travelled out of the country, he said that he received a call from an unknown number who turned out to be the banker. According to him, she told her that his card will not work because he needed a certain amount in his account to work and she has paid it in. She asked him to kindly refund her as soon as he could. From their exchange, he was able to get her contact and soon became friends. Their friendship soon blossomed into marriage.
“Since I became her husband, I have tried to be very helpful like washing dishes, cleaning the house, cooking emptying the garbage, cleaning the bathroom; I do groceries, I do laundry and I ensure that she is always fine. Part of the reasons that I do these things – besides providing for her, is not only to fulfil my obligations as a husband, but it is to continue to repay her great act of kindness that captured my attention,” he said.
