Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds are set to marry next summer, according to reports.

The Prime Minister and his fiancé have sent save the dates to family and friends for July 30, 2022, according to The Sun.

The couple have been engaged since late 2019 and have a 12 month old son, Wilfred, together.

The marriage will be Mr Johnson’s third, after divorcing his second wife and mother of his four children, Marina Wheeler, last year.

The news marks the first time that an official date has been reported for the couple’s nuptials, amid rumours that they were planning to tie the knot when England’s third lockdown is lifted.

As part of Mr Johnson’s easing of measures, up to 30 people were able to attend weddings from May 17.

Asked if he was planning a summer wedding, Mr Johnson has previously told The Sun: “The wedding industry is certainly gonna come roaring back in common with many other sectors of the economy.”

The couple are believed to have started dating in early 2018 when Ms Symonds was the director of communications for the Conservative Party.
