When Kings Stay At Home Instead Of Going To War…Part 1
It was the season for Rulers to go claim cities and gather the spoils. It was a time when Kings had to reaffirm their strength and territory and even conquer more territories in order to be feared and respected but this King sat it out this year.
Well, he had trained his troops so well that they could function without him so there was no need to accompany them this time although this was mandatory for all Kings.
He stayed home and rested. This beautiful afternoon after awakening from a nap he decided to take a walk around his balcony.
Now, as King, his palace was at the center of the city with the homes of all his soldiers surrounding his. You definitely had to go past them all to get to him. By the way, he had the most formidable Army yet seen by mankind. Their fighting technique was rivaled by none. It is told of how one of the soldiers wielded a sword from morning till night as he brought down battalions of soldiers from the enemies camp.
The reports of the victories from the war front came daily and he sure had nothing to worry about he thought, until this afternoon as he took his usual evening stroll on his balcony and beheld the sight of this hour glassed shaped body. He exclaimed as he shamelessly watched her take her bath.
No matter how he tried he could not take his mind off her long after she had grabbed her towel and gone back into her house, the memory of her was planted in his mind.
As he tossed and turned on his bed that night, he wondered how her body would feel next to his. He had tried to take her memory.
He had tried to erase the memory of her beautiful body by inviting two of his concubines to his bed chamber, yet he still had this crazy urge nothing could take away.There and then, he knew he had to have this woman, even if just once. He had to have her. He smiled to himself as he went off to bed. “The privileges of being king”, thought to himself, as he dozed off.
Dawn came with thoughts of her as he awoke. He sent for her immediately and like he had fantasized all night it was explosive, much more than he imagined. She went back home and all returned to normal or so he thought.
A month later, one of his trusted employees approached him with a world shattering message. “The Lady who you asked to go get a few weeks back, yes!!! The Soldiers wife, she says SHE IS PREGNANT” he hurriedly left not sure of his fate after delivering such a message.
The King stood in shock for a few minutes, he shook himself out of it quickly and began to devise different means by which he would right this great wrong before it became public knowledge.
First things first, a man away could not impregnate a woman; the soldier had to be called home….
