I said it, didn’t l?, that this week is shaping out to become a week of ‘Wedding Wahalas’,
lnfact, what have been ringing in my ears, since morning that l’ve been online is;
” Calling off weddings!, and cutting off people for wedding’s sake!” (what a rhyme)
A Kenyan lady identified as ‘Yvonne Kontoz’ has called off her wedding;
And what was the problem? (how many times will l ask this particular question today?)
Her fiancé had told her to cut off ties with her baby daddy.
According to a post, Aunty Yvonne posted on Facebook, on Sunday, 30 April;
“Few days ago, l called off my wedding, wuuueh, nyota nyangu ni Kama pastor Ezekiel ameeenda nayo jela ( whatever that means)”

She continued;
“My Fiance was good, he loves me, he has no problems with taking care of me and my daughter fully but there are things l can never compromise no matter how good you are to me…. And one of them is the relationship my daughter has with her father. That has always been my rule. I broke up with my baby daddy but he didn’t break up with his child. The bond my daughter has with her father is something l can never compromise just to make the man l’m dating happy…..e.t.c e.t.c”
Aunty Yvonne went on to say other things, but she’s made her point, so no need to bother you with everything she said, cus we’ve got other matters to treat.
Well, l honestly don’t know what to say (this one pass me)
l guess Aunty Yvonne did the right thing, cus she chose her daughter’s happiness over pleasing her current man.
But, l won’t also blame the Fiancé, who asked her to cut off ties with her baby daddy. I mean like, dude was just jealous of her continued relationship with her baby daddy
Even God is a jealous God, you know.
But, on the other hand……
Infact, this their matter just tire me.
