Please help me post this. I want to hear what people will say about this. My husband’s younger brother who just finished last year lives with us. While waiting for a job,he started a dry cleaning business in our house. So he would go and pick peoples’ clothes from our estate,wash and iron them.
I particularly love that he is hard working and not lazy. So, I even help him get some of my corporate friends to patronize him. He is a dashing young man with a good heart. Last week,a man came to our house and started shouting from down stairs that he wants to see Victor (not real name of my brother in-law).
He was making so much noise,before long,we all came out and he almost pounced on us cos we told him Victor is our brother. He came visibly upset and ready for trouble. From what he said, Victor in the guise of coming to pick up clothes from his house for dry cleaning has been sleeping with his wife.
I thought that was a bloody joke. The man rained curses and swore to kill Victor. It took the estate security and neighbours to get the man away from us. When we asked Victor if it was true,he said yes. I couldn’t believe this. This young man whom I thought had such a bright future…
Eventually,it proved to us all that Victor has been sleeping with a married woman in her home and the husband of the woman found their explicit text messages to each other. How they planned to meet soon as her husband stepped out and she could not wait to see him every other day. How the did it in her matrimonial bed,etc
Victor in his defense said he was sorry for his actions but that it was the woman who seduced him with a job offer if he had s*x with her. Apparently, she has connections in an oil and gas company and claimed to have submitted Victor’s CV to them. Her husband I hear is a very rich man with political connections in high places.
However,the woman is now claiming that Victor is the one coming for her and that she couldn’t resist him cos she was having issues in her marriage. She and her husband were not having s*x so she could not resist Victor’s charms.
My husband and I are so upset… the man who’s wife is sleeping with Victor is threatening police. How do we handle this matter? Victor and this woman are adults,both had consensual s*x even though both of them have given their own version of what happened.
Now that the man is involving police,what do we do? I told my husband let us go and beg him but he says,its Victor’s problem not his. Besides, the man’s wife was the one who came after Victor so she should be the one to apologize.
I know Victor did the wrong thing. Their mother has been calling us to help her save her son. He is a good boy,don’t know why he allowed himself to be lured. But my husband has warned me from going to plead with the man.
What should I do…I cannot allow this boy,who is just 26 years to get into trouble with this man who appears to be a very big shot. They will ruin this boy. Please advise me.

Since your husband doesn’t want to involve himself can you at least reach out to other family members so they can go and plead with the man..
Victor has done something very bad but you can’t just leave him alone because your husband says so..I wish you the best of luck..

You’ll have to find a good time to BEG your husband to help so the young man doesn’t suffer much even though after this is resolved, he might have to leave the estate. This is because there is a way men talk over this kind of thing.
For now, you can’t go on your own as your husband has said otherwise.
The guy have to also apologize to the man and promise to leave the estate immediately.

It is a consensual s*x not rape. The man should vent his anger on his wife. Very few can survive the temptation of a strange woman. It takes extreme discipline and willpower especially considering the offer a promising and alluring job. Not many young men will botch before they jump on her. He has no case against the poor boy. Should he decided to carry out his threat involve a right group and make public noise on it. It is not a bad idea should you decide to apologize though on behalf of the boy and let peace reign. It is the safest route.
They are adults who had consensual s*x it is not a crime. the man is only intimidating him. If you are well to do please sue the man for assult and get a restraining order otherwise the guy can relocate to somewhere else till the whole thing blows over.
Yes but in lawless country where the rich use uniform officers to intimate poor and innocent citizens. I weep for such a country. That’s the reason the woman will threaten arrest.
If the guy brother is well to do, they should resist any form of arrest.

Victor uncle needs to take this serious,because if victor got arrested the uncle will bear the cost, I think the uncle should go beg the man and victor should leave the vicinity with immediate effect.
I think you should beg your husband to plead with the man before things go out of hands. Nd the victor should live that place before he land you people in another trouble

He’s offended and hurt, therefore he must be appeased.
Make sure the man forgives your brother-in-law and immediately send him (Victor) out of your home and Estate for now.

You need to stop begging your husband desperately over this matter so that the whole thing won’t totally turn upside down for you. Your husband is sincerely hurt and disappointed with his junior brother and you don’t need to pressurise him more by begging him to do something. If you should keep pressurising him, he might think there’s something going on between you and his brother. So slow down with the desperate pleading for now.
Let your brother-in-law be do the begging by himself. He should beg your husband persistently to assist him out, and also if necessary any other elderly person that could interfere in the matter.
About the police case, unless the rich man would cook up another lie on him, the text messages between him and the man’s wife should be enough to prove him innocent. Also try to get a recording about the truth of the matter from the rich man’s mouth or his wife. So if they should lie in the police station, you can use that against them to set your brother free. That should end the police affairs there.
If things get worse, then the last option is to send your brother-in-law away till the whole heat goes down. He should go back to the village for the meantime.
But don’t forget, most importantly, reduce your effort and interference on the matter. What your brother-in-law has done is a bad blemish and your husband wouldn’t want to get stained too.

Well I just came upon the issue, i don’t know how far. But am short of words on the level of complexity.and am surprised people are calling it a concession between two adults.Joseph even though innocent almost rot in jail if not that his innocence outshined the evil that would befall him.people should be aware of the consequences of their actions.victor had no excuse what so ever if the woman had even seduced him. She is a married woman and to have slept with the woman on her matrimonial bed not even in a hotel.she should do her best in trying to find a way at all cost to pacify the man. That is if the aggrieved man would agree. Before her husband opted out he knew how far. What humiliation and stain he had brought upon the brother.just do your best and have it on mind that your inlaw might have to face the consequences of his foolish actions. First,your brother needs to leave the vicinity for now.
Second, you need to try to talk to your husband again. No matter how much he thinks his brother is wrong,selling him to the wolves wont solve the problem.
He needs to tell his brother to apologize to the man. Not for taking advantage of the man’s wife cos the woman is an adult and it was consensual s*x.
The apology is for disrespecting the man by sleeping with his wife in his house…his matrimonial bed. That is not to say cheating outside his house is ok but at least,no man would like to be so disrespected….even Victor your brother would never like that.
Thereafter, get a lawyer. There is really no case here but just get a lawyer to advise and be prepared just in case.
There is no case because this is not a rape case…its a civil matter.

Your husband should try the best he can do about the situation. Tho the man is an adult and is responsible for his actions. Every day for the thief. One day for the owner. He should be cautioned.
