Singer James Arthur reconciles with his ex-girlfriend Jessica Grist six months after split
James Arthur, an English singer and songwriter who rose to fame after winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012 has rekindled romance with his on/off girlfriend Jessica Grist.
The couple went their seperate ways in July 2021, just as the singer released a record packed with positive lyrics about their relationship.
However in recent photos shared online, James and Jessica were spotted together at a specialist garage which wraps smart motors in personalised colours and logos. They both showed off extremely bold, patterned designer outfits.
A source told The Sun;
“They’ve had six months apart but have always stayed in touch and got on very well. People close to them are pleased they’re back on — there’s a definite chemistry and they’ve been together the best part of a decade. Hopefully this is a fresh start. There was always something really good there.”
The couple started dating in 2012 when she worked as a back up dancer on the series of The X Factor James won. James and Jessica drifted apart in July, and in an interview shortly after their break-up, the singer said:
“The challenge is, people like story-telling from me, the love stuff — but it’s trying to work out how I can dress it up in a cooler way. I put a lot of myself into the music, a lot of my story, but the hope is it will help other people too.
“I’ve never wanted to involve people in my personal life, even though I know it comes with the territory, but I’m fine about putting myself out there. I’m a big ambassador for mental health.
“Uncomfortable as it makes me feel to talk about my personal struggles, I’ve seen how helpful it can be so I’ll continue to do it — whether through music or interviews.”
